
The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 20 February 2025, approved the proposal for the appointment of Judges in the High Court of Bombay, Madras, and Patna. As of 25 February 2025, the Supreme Court Collegium currently consists of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justices B.R. Gavai, Surya Kant, A.S. Oka, and Vikram Nath.
High Court of Bombay-
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting recommended the appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the High Court of Bombay along with an extension of the term of office:
- Shri Justice Shailesh Pramod Brahme,
- Shri Justice Firdosh Phiroze Pooniwalla, and
- Shri Justice Jitendra Shantilal Jain
The Supreme Court Collegium has also resolved to recommend that Smt. Justice Manjusha Ajay Deshpande, Additional Judge, be appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Bombay for a fresh term of one year
Madras High Court-
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting recommended the appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Madras High Court:
- Shri Justice Ramasamy Sakthivel,
- Shri Justice P. Dhanabal,
- Shri Justice Chinnasamy Kumarappan, and
- Shri Justice Kandasamy Rajasekar.
High Court of Patna-
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting recommended the appointment of following Advocates, as Judges of the High Court of Judicature at Patna:
- Shri Alok Kumar Sinha,
- Shri Ritesh Kumar,
- Smt. Soni Shrivastava,
- Shri Sourendra Pandey, and
- Shri Ansul @ Anshul Raj.
